Love Where We Live: Keeping North Attleborough Beautiful - Linda W
North Attleborough is more than the place where we do business. It is home to our customers, our neighbors, and members of our Imperial Subaru team. Caring for this community has long mattered to us, and our relationship with Keep North Attleborough Beautiful reflects that commitment. For years, we have proudly supported the organization and the volunteers who give their time to keeping our town clean, welcoming, and beautiful. Our latest donation continued that longstanding support, and we are proud to be recognized as a Gold Level Sponsor. That commitment reflects the spirit of Subaru Loves the Earth: caring for the environment starts with caring for the places around us. For our team, that means supporting the people working to protect and improve the community we share. We are grateful to the organizers and volunteers who keep this work going. Their dedication reminds us that a cleaner, healthier community takes ongoing care. Helping Local Students Begin the Year with Confidence - Linda W
As a new school year approached, we found ourselves thinking about everything that comes with that first day - the excitement of meeting a new teacher, seeing friends again, and opening a brand-new notebook. But for some children, the beginning of school also brings uncertainty. School supplies are not always easy for families to afford, especially when they are already making difficult choices about groceries, clothing, transportation, and other necessities. No child should have to sit beside classmates with a full backpack while wondering why they do not have the same tools to begin their year. Teachers see these needs firsthand, and far too often, they quietly spend their own money to fill the gaps. They purchase notebooks, pencils, markers, cleaning products, and other classroom essentials because they want every student to feel welcomed and prepared. Through the Subaru Loves Learning initiative, the Imperial Subaru team was able to adopt 6 classrooms at Brennan Middle School providing teachers with $500 each to offset those expenses. Along with supporting teachers, we wanted to help students feel ready for the year ahead by providing the everyday school supplies their families might struggle to afford. We filled a van all the way to the roof with teacher kits, calculators, pens, markers, scissors, notebooks, binders, cleaning supplies, electronics, and more - enough to help 187 Brennan Middle School students. It was not simply a van filled with supplies - it was filled with countless opportunities for children to participate, create, and learn without feeling left behind. That same care extended to Community School in North Attleboro, where we delivered 250 pairs of headphones, 250 backpacks, and 214 elementary school supply kits. We hoped these essentials would ease some of the worry for families and help children arrive at school feeling prepared, confident, and excited to learn. We were grateful for the opportunity to ease even a small part of the burden carried by families and educators in our community. Education helps shape a child's confidence, opens doors to new possibilities, and builds the future we will all share. We hope these supplies gave teachers one less expense to worry about and helped students enter their classrooms feeling ready, included, and excited for what lies ahead. Sometimes, something as simple as a new notebook or a working calculator can tell a child, "You belong here, and your future matters."
Wrapped in Care: Bringing Comfort and Hope to Cancer Patients - Linda W
Cancer has affected nearly every one of us. We have seen how frightening a diagnosis can be, how exhausting treatment can become, and how lonely even the strongest person may feel along the way. When Imperial Subaru was given the opportunity to support blood cancer patients receiving care at Sturdy Health's Cancer & Specialty Care facility in North Attleboro, our team wanted to offer more than donated items. We wanted every patient to know that people in their community were thinking of them, believing in them, and standing beside them. A Message of Hope board was placed in the Imperial Subaru showroom, where customers and employees were invited to write words of encouragement. Soon, the board was filled with sincere reminders: "Stay strong." "Be brave and courageous." "You can get through anything." "One day at a time - we support you." "Your smile is unique." "You are amazing." "You are loved." Members of our sales and service teams then visited Sturdy Health to deliver those messages, along with blankets and patient care kits filled with cozy socks, activity books to pass the time, stress relievers, handwritten notes, and other comforting items. These may seem like simple gestures, but in a vulnerable moment, a warm blanket or a few sincere words can remind someone they don't have to face difficult days alone. In addition to supporting the patients receiving care, we wanted to let the wonderful caring Sturdy team members know how much they were appreciated by providing snacks to enjoy during their busy day. We wanted to provide a little care to the caregivers. Imperial Subaru was honored to partner with Sturdy Health and Blood Cancer United through the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. Subaru is Blood Cancer United's largest automotive donor, and during June, Subaru matched online donations to help that support reach even more people. Together, Subaru and its retailers have supported more than 550,000 cancer patients nationwide. Our team is incredibly proud to work for a company that understands love is not only something we feel - it is something we choose to put into action. Whether through a care kit, a conversation, or a handwritten message from a stranger, we can help spread hope to people in our own community when they need it most.

This spring, one hundred young trees waited on tables inside Imperial Subaru, each one ready to begin a new life somewhere in our community. We found ourselves wondering where they would go. Would one grow beside a family's first home? Would another someday shade kids playing in a backyard? Perhaps birds would build their nests among the branches, neighbors would rest beneath the leaves, or a family would watch their tree grow beside their children. We may never know every tree's destination, but we know that North Attleboro and its surrounding communities are now a little greener and richer because these trees found homes. Through the Subaru Loves the Earth initiative, Subaru partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation with the goal of providing and distributing more than 165,000 trees - the largest corporate tree distribution event of its kind. Customers and community members reserved a tree and pickup time, visited Imperial Subaru, and left with something small enough to carry but full of possibilities. Trees give us oxygen, cool our neighborhoods, support wildlife, and can improve the health and well-being of the people living around them. At a time when communities across the country lose millions of trees each year, every new tree matters. Our role in this event was simple, but its impact will continue even after the final tree left the dealership. We hope these trees will be planted with care, enjoyed by people and animals, and nurtured for many years to come. One day, they may stand taller than the people who brought them home - living reminders that even the smallest act of care can take root and grow into something long-lasting. A Heart Warming Afternoon at the Boys and Girls Club of Providence - Linda W
A winter coat offers more than protection from the cold. For a child, it can also bring comfort, confidence, and the freedom to focus on being a kid. Members of the Imperial Subaru team visited the Boys & Girls Club in East Providence to distribute new winter coats through Subaru Loves to Help and Operation Warm. We arrived hoping to make the season a little warmer for these incredible children - but we left realizing how deeply they had touched our hearts, too. The day quickly grew into a celebration. There was pizza, music, toys, laughter, and the excitement of children receiving and trying on their new coats. The kids were incredibly appreciative, and they seemed truly happy to have the Imperial Subaru team there to help them find their coats and share in the fun. For a few hours, we were not simply dealership employees making a delivery. We were a group of neighbors spending time together, sharing conversations and building memories. If we are being honest, our team may have enjoyed the party just as much as the kids did! By the time we left the Boys & Girls Club, several of us had tears in our eyes. What may have looked like a simple coat distribution became one of the most meaningful experiences our team has shared. We hope every child left feeling warm, confident, celebrated, and ready for the season ahead. Imperial Subaru is proud to work for a company that encourages us to show up for our communities, because small moments of care can create an impact much bigger than we ever expect - and sometimes, the warmth we share comes right back to us.
